At Capital Otolaryngology, the health and wellness of our patients is of utmost importance. In order to protect your well-being, our practice has continued to modify and advance its standard procedures in response to COVID-19. We have equipped our clinic with advanced stage HEPA filters to continually filter and remove harmful airborne viruses and bacteria. All patients are expected to wear face and mask coverings during their visits. We have also taken our clinic sanitation to a new level of cleanliness. Before any patient enters a clinic exam room, all instruments and surfaces have been thoroughly sanitized with CDC-approved chemical and heat-based methods.

With the implementation of our new, standard sanitation protocols we have been able to continue to offer our patients minimally invasive, office-based surgeries in a safe and compliant manner. All patients undergoing such procedures are screened preoperatively utilizing molecular analysis which helps us identify any potential COVID-19 carries with greater than 95% accuracy. All office procedures including balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reduction, and septoplasty can be safely performed.

Lastly, we ask individuals with any of the symptoms listed below to notify our clinical team. Your appointment may be rescheduled at your physician’s discretion.

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
  • Chills
  • Muscle aches
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

Comprehensive Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treatment in Austin and Lakeway, Texas

Are you losing sleep because you snore? Do you think you may have sleep apnea?

Snoring is sometimes the source of jokes and laughter, but more commonly it is a source of frustration. Many times snoring is addressed due to a bed partner’s fatigue or discomfort, but snoring can actually be a sign of a much more serious problem for the snorer.

Loud snoring and other symptoms, such as frequent gaps in breathing during sleep or not feeling refreshed after a night’s sleep, can often mean you have sleep apnea. This is a common sleep disorder that can be potentially very serious and even life threatening.

If snoring is interrupting you or your partner’s sleep, the doctors at Snoring Austin, a division of Capital Otolaryngology in Austin and Lakeway, Texas, can help. We feature state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and our own sleep study lab to help diagnose your sleep or snoring problem.

Our facility is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and our doctors have extensive training and years of experience in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Zachary D. Wassmuth, Dr. Latif Dharamsi, and Dr. Raymond Brown will determine the cause of your condition and recommend the most effective solution to improve your sleep.

There are nonsurgical treatment options for snoring and sleep apnea that you can implement at home, or you might need a simple office-based procedure. In addition, we now offer Inspire implant therapy for sleep apnea, an implant that helps to keep a patient’s airway open during sleep.

If you need surgery to treat your sleep or snoring problem, our doctors can conveniently perform surgery at our own outpatient surgery center.
